She lived in London and worked there in a company but she seemed worried and upset because of the mysterious dream. The dream was mysterious because it was always about unknown man and place which she had never seen in the real life. In the dream she always saw a lane with white fence and a hedge. At the end of the lane she saw a small white cottage with green shutter. She walked towards the house and entered into it. She found a little man with white beard and hair sleeping in one of the rooms. Class XII Compulsory English

I am going to post some useful materials on Compulsory English for the students of class XII  1. Grandmother  The poem, Grandmother, by Ray Young Bear is about his love and reminiscence for his grandmother. He has picturized his grandmother with help of few words in the poem. The different images created by the poet to draw the picture of his grandmother are really appealing to our senses. The poet would know his grandmother who would be in the purple scarf; and would go market holding a plastic shopping bag even if he saw her from a great distance. Here he has created a visual image of his grandmother that appeals to our eyes. He would feel the warm and damp hands of his grandmother when she caressed around his forehead. He has made an olfactory image those appeals to our skin. He would easily find the smell of roots that came from her hands quite familiar to his nose.
